It’s an exciting time for farming on Fogo Island! A busy summer has led to a bountiful fall harvest, and it’s all going to be on display at the first annual Partridgeberry Harvest Festival and Farmer's Market on Thanksgiving weekend. 

Reviving old farming ways and creating new methods through experiments and education is the vision of Fogo Island Farms. The nutrient rich soils of the Island contribute to the outstanding results experienced by farmers, past and present.

A wealth of produce is being grown in gardens around Fogo Island. You too can start a garden, right in your own backyard.

Buying locally not only benefits the farmer, but the consumer and community as a whole. Locally grown food doesn’t have to be transported long distances, so therefore it’s fresher, tastes better and maintains its nutritional value.
